MARTYN HALL COUNSELLING

Introduction

To give you the space to explore the barriers in front of you, to look at your thought processes and past behaviours, for deeper understanding . I will listen to you, without judgement and create a safe environment in which we can begin working on you and encourage positive change.

I am an Integrative counsellor, focusing on Person Centred, I believe different approaches suit different people, I therefore use a variety of therapeutic approaches and tools, such as CBT. 


I have been working as a certified Counselling Professional since 2016 and I am registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.

I enjoy working with people and encouraging clients to empower themselves to make their own decisions, leading to a more content and happy life, through exploring their barriers and supporting them to overcome them. 

I am married with two children. I would describe myself as sincere, trustworthy, grounded, nurturing and kind.  I believe in patience and allowing the space for things to unfold in their own time, naturally.  My commitment to seeing things through gives me a real sense of achievement.

I have experience of working with; Loss and Bereavement, Emotional difficulties, Addiction, Depression, Suicidal thoughts and Feelings, Domestic violence, Abuse, Anger management, PTSD, Eating disorders, Anxiety, Sexuality, Gender identity, Confidence, Self-esteem, Trauma, Self-harm, Relationship difficulties and Shame.

As well as private practice, I previously worked as a School Counsellor at a Bristol secondary school.

At the point of referral your personal information is gathered and will be stored securely, digitally.  When you end with our sessions, all information apart from your referral form will be deleted after 30 days. Only your referral form will be kept digitally, to support any re-referral. 
You can take the opportunity to update information about you at any time. 
I receive monthly clinical supervision and client identity is anonymised. Confidentiality is an important part of our work and will be upheld throughout, however there may be times when disclosure is necessary - this will be explained at our first session.
I have a current Enhanced DBS and Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance through Towergate Insurance.  I have also completed Safeguarding training.
